The novel SARS-Cov-2 virus poses major challenges for global societies. The resulting scientific questions are manifold and constantly initiate new research approaches.

The research group of the University of Rostock and the University of Greifswald on the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus is making a contribution by discussing short-term and long-term social consequences and pursuing joint research approaches. The interdisciplinary team consists of scientists from the fields of systems biology and bioinformatics, health research and demography, computer pharmacology, as well as data science and statistics. The research group deals, among others, with mathematical and epidemiological modeling of the infection process, interactive forecasting tools for the spread of Covid-19 and (molecular) immune interaction maps.

On this website you will find the research projects and publications on the respective research topics, as well as media reports and the contact details of the scientists.
